The beaches and coves of Alcossebre
Along its ten kilometers of coastline are the five large sandy beaches of Alcossebre: El Cargador (Carregador), La Romana, El Moro, Manyetes or Tropicana and Las Fuentes, which have the blue flag. as a mark of quality. This last beach has fresh water springs, which arise from it and are of great ecological value.
You can also find several coves: Tres Playas, which is a set of three coves separated by rock formations whose bed is rock; Cala del Moro, which is separated from the beach of the same name by a small dune; Cala Mundina and Cala Blanca, located in the Ribamar area, near the Irta lighthouse.
Las Fuentes also has a marina, and to the north lies the Sierra de Irta Natural Park. Near the town, on a peak that dominates the southern end of the Sierra de Irta is the Hermitage of Santa Lucía and San Benito.
The Columbretes Islands, of volcanic origin, are located off the coast and can be seen in the distance when the weather is good.
